What a fun read. Couldn't stop reading til the end. Once the story is started I had to keep reading to find out through all the twists and turns how the story ended. Will there be a sequel? Or could Tina Murray's next book take place in Nashville? I enjoyed Tina's first book with these characters and it was great to see how her writing has matured. Hope she has another book on the way.
I was honored to read an early manuscript of "A Wild Dream of Love" and found myself scrolling through the pages like mad to get to the answer of "Whodunnit." Murray does a great job of making the sweetest and most endearing of characters appear as guilty as the nasty, obnoxious characters that you want to see thrown over a yacht railing. And what's most cool? Murray has characters with such depth that you consider them sweet and endearing and other characters that you want to climb into the book and strangle. I won't start giving away spoilers, but, seriously, there are some chicks who need to be eaten by sharks.
As Murray did with her first novel, she set her story in such familiar-to-her places that she could give hints and details that put the reader right there in the scene. She did her homework to maker her rock star and his change-of-life feel like some celebrity had just stepped off the stage of E! and spilled his most emotional story to us. As a gal who had her full-on obsession with a rock star during my teens (and beyond), I can totally relate to the nanny who finds herself swept up and away by intense events that put her in her obsession's arms...but for how long?
Murray has done a great job of building a mystery while manipulating readers' emotions. It's a great story for those who want a not-too-graphic murder mystery but fully thought-out romance.
