Havoc and Eve make a wonderful couple. The storylines of Dean's sisters and their romances add great depth to this book. Learning more about fighting and that world is awesome and makes watching UFC even more exciting. The mystery woven through the story makes it even more riveting. Nobody writes kickass alpha heroes and strong heroines like Lore Foster. Creating the SBC world and all the fighters is an awesome place to set the greatest romances. I would recommend this story to any adult reader who enjoys an exciting and sexy read.

I was sure I read this along time ago but bought and read again. I loved it and will have to check out the rest in this series. Thank you Lori Foster.
Dean is an SBC fighter who receives a letter from his estranged sister Cam whom he hasn't seen since he was nine years old when his parents died. He was taken away from his sisters and was sent to live with his uncle. He decides to return home to Harmony Kentucky to see what she needs with the intentions that he isn't gonig to stay long. When he gets there he meets this attractive women Eve who blows his mind. Only to find out later that Eve is his sisters best friend. Dean tries to refrain from being the protective big brother, by telling himself that he is not planning on staying more than a few days. Things change though as Dean becomes intimatly involved with Eve and starts playing the big brother to his sisters. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a great story line and mixed well with the sex scenes. I couldn't put this book down and couldn't wait to read the next in the series.
I can reread this book, over and over. Filled with so much love and laughter. To go back to your roots and know that you may leave home and it'll always be home. And I love Dean and Eve! A macho, sexy man and carefree woman. Definitely couldn't put it down.
I'm glad I read the reviews before I read the book as I knew what to expect. It was a welcome change to have a book that the point of view was mostly from the man. I also was warned that this was not primarily a love story. SBC fighter Dean "Havoc" Conor receives a letter from a sister he thought had forgotten him when his uncle took him 20 years ago after the death of their parents. As it turned out, evil Aunt Lorna who had custody of the girls, refused to raise Dean, and told them that Dean wanted nothing to do with them and that there was no way to contact him.

Returning to town to meet his sisters he runs into Eve, a close friend of Cam & Jackie, who he is immediately attracted to. Dean comes to realize that he is part of a family, loved and wanted, if he can just let go of his fear of being hurt. It's great to see him opening up even though he fights it.

Why did I give it a 4?
1. Cam was naive and rather wimpy. In spite of the fact that Lorna had been cold when raising them and had stolen much of their inheritance she made excuses for her because she "did the best job she could". Bull.
2. Roger was a mean, self-centered, manipulative, unfeeling creature. I suppose we were supposed to sympathize with him in the end because of his childhood but give me a break! Cam loving him made no sense.
3. Way, way more information about Eve having her period that I ever wanted to know!

But this was a good start to the SBC series and I've already started "Simon Says".
Lori Foster weaves an intriguing plot of characters in “Causing Havoc.” Lori is both witty and very funny. The hunk of a SBC fighter Dean “Havoc” Connor possesses the muscular look with his bruised and battered body His parents died when his was nine years old. He was separated from his two sisters for twenty years. He returns to Harmony, Kentucky where he meets Eve one of his sister’s friend. The steam sizzles. Roger the sleaze is wealthy and one of Dean’s sister fiance and looks like a criminal
Causing Havoc is a little like getting 3 romances in one. Dean/Havoc comes to town to visit his sisters & meets Eve on his first night in town. Instant attraction on both sides - and no games. They're both very open about how they feel. It was nice to have that right from the beginning. It's the same when, later, one of his sisters meets one of his friends & there is an instant connection. They have to go through some stuff, of course, but it's not drawn out & they are, again, very open with their communications, so things that could have been dragged out are not. This makes me happy - dragging things out CAN work, but more often than not, it just annoys me. )

The blurb is a bit misleading - Eve hasn't heard of him, and doesn't have a problem w/ his reputation or anything like that.

The family dynamic & the romance is all very balanced & it's an engaging read. Quick & fun & very *ahem* noble. (I was gonna say "sweet" but Dean would say, "Don't say sweet." LOL
Awesome series...you won't be disappointed. Lori Foster is a mega talent in the Romance Book industry, and it's for a reason, she writes books that are pure gold. This is the first book in a series that I thoroughly enjoyed about boxers and the women they fall in love with. Of course there's tons of angst, egotistical men, beautiful woman, and shananigans to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. And danger, of course you can't forget about the danger! These hunky boxers do have to save those beautiful women in distress, now don't they? All the way around its a fun, suspenseful read!
